LitteraLund

I started working at Lund municipality in 2009 with the children's book festival LitteraLund. During one week a fantastic program in four areas were performed. It starts with a program for school children of all ages. Theatre performances, author meetings, exhibition visits and lots of other activities were offered to classes during the whole week. 65 different activities were divided between the almost 50 classes that signed up for the program the first year I was working with LitteraLund and I was in charge of the coordination of it all. Alongside theese activities a two day long program for young adults were held, and a conference for teachers, librarians, authors and other school employees. The last day is a big public book party with free activites and author meetings in wonderful and imaginative scenes which I was in charge of. To pull off a festival like this you need volonteers. During LitteraLund 2009 I started a volunteer bank with 25 volunteers on my list.

After LitteraLund the next festival was in its bundle and I immediately jumped in. bibu.se is a theatre festival for children held every other year. Volunteers were one of my responsabilities and I added about 40 people to my list. I did a lot of administativ work before the festival but the main work were during the festival. With different stages and venues spread all over town I had to be the one that held it all together with my trusty volunteers.

 

Cultural administrator and producer

After working with three festivals I started to take on my own projects in autumn 2010. "Kultur lördag" and "Lund lyser" were some of them. I was in charge of the whole process from adding content and marketing the event to hiring technical supplies and taking care of artists. I really learned a lot during this year. I was also the producer for Lunds Teaterförening in charge of procuring performances and responsible for the budget, for marketing and fringe events.
