Lund Choral Festival 2010, 2012 and 2014

 

I'm a recurring guest player at Lund choral festival and has, since 2010 been working as a producer with basically the same tasks each year. The festival is a big choir extravaganza that lasts for a week every other year and as a producer I start working approximately 6 month before the festival starts. My work consists of two areas of responsibility. The first one is what we call artist service that consists mainly of contacting participating choires and artists and coordinating their visit with hotel bookings and travel arrangments. I also write contracts, and create welcome packages for our guests including maps, info sheets about their hotel and venue, restaurant tips and places to visit during their stay. 

 

The other part consists of engaging volunteers. I have a list of about 250 volunteers that I have been working with over the years, and I take a lot of pride in that many of them are recurring volunteers. They like me as a leader and I love to work with them! During the festival we need about 80-90 volunteers and we have those who are old in the game as well as those who just started studying turist and hotel studies in our local high schools. I create their working schedule and act as a coordinator during the festival. 

I also make sure that our guest artists and choires are well taken care of during their stay with the help of my volunteers.
